For installation, follow these simple steps: 1. Shut off the valve using the handle. 2. Use two screwdrivers to pry off the old plastic vacuum breaker cap from underneath. 3. Remove the old vacuum breaker bonnet with pliers by turning it counter-clockwise. 4. Take out the old vacuum breaker plunger assembly. 5. Place the new plunger assembly in position, ensuring that the rubber seal and center plastic pin are facing upwards. 6. Secure the new plastic vacuum breaker bonnet by turning it clockwise with pliers. Tighten it firmly. 7. Press the new cap down firmly and evenly over the bonnet.
